Safety, freedom, and hope through economic empowerment
We believe the spirit in which we work is just as important as our program itself. PTI is committed to helping under-resourced people, including individuals who have experienced trauma, to gain control of their lives. We believe we assist clients best when we honor their experiences, support their strengths, and listen to their voices. Our programs are a direct response to listening to the voices of those we work with who expressed the need for safe and well-paid work. Prioritizing their rights, their voice, their dreams, and their goals allows us to adapt our programs to their unique needs and ensures we are most effective in helping them achieve a hopeful future.
HOW WE DO THIS:
Career goal development and training on transferable workplace skills.
Individualized career planning and support services throughout the client’s journey.
Vocational, elementary, high school, and college scholarships, along with academic tutoring.
Short-term, part-time employment in a simulated workplace. Clients gain work experience in a safe, supportive environment.
Connections to employers and mentorship on interviewing and applying for jobs.
Immediate, short-term crisis support for clients.
